The name of the firm and its olive oil refers to the family castle in the township of Canena. The picual olives are grown completely without pesticides and the company is firmly committed to sustainable development in other respects as well; it generates photovoltaic energy, uses pruning waste biomass as ecologically sound fuel and its entire premises have a cover of indigenous plants.
